This policy explains how the Screvio Recorder and Screvio Player browser extensions (“the extensions”) handle your data. Screvio is operated by SREEKUTTAN A R, India (“we”).

1. What Screvio Recorder collects

Only while you are recording, and only in what you chose to record:

• Screen video of the tab, window, screen or region you select.
• Your actions — clicks, key presses, scrolling and page navigation — with timestamps.
• Page details for each action: the page address and title, and a description of the element you used (for example a button's label).
• Dialog text (optional, off by default) — the text of browser alert, confirm and prompt boxes in the tab you are recording.
• Page copies (optional, off by default) — a copy of each page you record on, with anything typed into fields removed, used to preview guides.

Values typed into password, card-number, one-time-code and similar sensitive fields are masked before they are stored, including individual key presses in those fields.

All of this is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is collected when you are not recording.

2. What Screvio Player uses

The Player reads the address and text of the page you are on, on your own computer, to decide which guide steps to show. It does not record your screen or your actions.

3. When data leaves your computer

Only in the cases below, and only to the Screvio server address you or your organization configured:

• Publishing a guide (Recorder) — the guide's steps, and any page copies you chose to keep, are uploaded.
• Getting guides (both) — the current page address is sent so matching guides can be returned.
• Send to support (both) — only after you confirm, a picture of the visible tab is sent to your server, which emails it to your support team. Anything on screen can appear in that picture. It is never sent automatically.
• Step repair (both, only if your organization turns it on) — when a guide cannot find a button, short descriptions of nearby controls (their labels and roles) are sent to your server, which may pass them to an AI service chosen by your organization.
• Guide reliability statistics (both, only if your organization turns it on) — how reliably each guide step found its element.
• Update check — the extension asks your server whether a newer version is available.

The extensions only connect to secure https:// server addresses (plain http:// is allowed only to your own computer, for testing). Exporting a recording as a file saves it to your computer; what you do with that file is up to you.

4. Access tokens

The server address and access token you enter are stored locally in the extension and sent only to that server, to sign in your requests.

5. Who runs the Screvio server

The Screvio server is run by your organization or by whoever provided your server address and token. Data sent to it is governed by that operator's own policies on retention and access. If you are unsure, ask your administrator.

6. Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or trade your data, and we do not use it for advertising or for anything unrelated to recording, editing and playing guides. We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

7. Deleting your data

Delete recordings from the extension's recordings page, or remove the extension to delete everything it stored in your browser. To remove data from a Screvio server, contact its administrator or write to support@screvio.in.

8. Children

The extensions are work tools and are not directed at children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

If the way the extensions handle data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
